introduction
This Code serves as an ethical and professional reference that is binding for all members of the Arab Writers and Intellectuals Association, operating under the umbrella of the Professional Tools for Training and Capacity Building
Article 1: Commitment to the Association’s Mission
Each member pledges to uphold the vision and mission of the Association and to contribute to achieving its goals with integrity, responsibility, respect for cultural diversity, and freedom of creative expression
Article 2: Professional Conduct
Members shall adhere to the highest standards of literary and intellectual integrity
Personal, ideological, or political views must not be imposed in a way that infringes on others’ freedoms
Constructive dialogue and mutual respect are to be maintained when differences in opinion arise
Article 3: Institutional Representation
No member may speak on behalf of the Association or issue statements in its name without an official mandate from the General Director or the President of the Association
Any publication, media appearance, or public communication made in the name of the Association must align with its official principles and requires prior approval when necessary
Article 4: Intellectual Property
Members shall respect intellectual property rights and must cite sources when quoting or referencing the work of others
Any form of plagiarism or unauthorized use of intellectual output is strictly prohibited
Article 5: Social Responsibility
The Association promotes a culture of volunteerism and considers cultural engagement a form of social responsibility
Members are encouraged to contribute voluntarily to initiatives that align with the Association’s values
Article 6: Violations and Accountability
Any violation of the provisions of this Code shall be addressed by the Association’s administration
Disciplinary actions may include a warning, suspension of membership, or permanent termination, depending on the nature and severity of the offense
