About us

Professional Tools for Training and Capacity Building is a non-profit, non-governmental organization established in 2022 as a direct response to the local community’s need for modern mechanisms and tools for empowerment and rehabilitation. It adopts a comprehensive approach to ensuring a better quality of life by empowering, training, and raising awareness among local communities in all economic, political, social, and cultural fields. This aims to expand participation and leadership to achieve an effective, inclusive, participatory, and sustainable society.

Dr. Maysoun Al-Saleem

Founder’s Biography

Dr. Maysoun Al-Saleem was born in Amman and holds a PhD in Philosophy and Psychological Counseling and a Master’s degree in Financial and Business Economics. She has over 25 years of experience in teaching, training, project management, and community change, in addition to conducting specialized scientific studies and research. Al-Saleem has devoted a significant portion of her attention to public work, holding several key leadership roles, including President of the General Jordanian Women’s Union, Chair of the Advisory Committee of the same union, and Chair of its branch in Mafraq Governorate. She also served as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Arab Women’s Organization and as a lecturer at Al al-Bayt University. In her efforts to empower local communities in Jordan, she established the Women’s Counseling Center in Mafraq Governorate and the Professional Tools Foundation for Empowerment and Capacity Building.

Al-Saleem believes that sustainable development can only be achieved through concerted efforts within a flexible environment and stimulating policies and legislation. Therefore, Al-Saleem established Professional Tools on the pillars of training, monitoring, and awareness-raising.
